2010: Played in 121 sets as the teams primary libero...led the team with 468 digs, which was amongst tops in the Mid-American Conference...was named MAC East Defensive Player of the Week twice in a row, the last two weeks of the season...recorded over 20 digs six times, including a career-high 25 digs against West Virginia (8/28), Ohio (11/5) and Akron (11/11)...also had 24 digs in wins over Niagara (9/1) and Army (9/19)...finished with 23 service aces, led by a career-high four aces against Bryant (9/19)...had a career-high seven assists against Ohio (11/5).

High School:  Earned four letters and captained for two seasons for head coach Rusty Opper at Trinity High School... led the Cleveland Volleyball Club to the 2009 National Championship in the 17’s National Division...qualified for Nationals in each of the last three years...at Trinity High School, Svoboda played outside hitter where she recorded 326 kills and 609 digs on the year.... two-year first-team All-Northeast District selection and has been on the honor roll for every semester during high school.

Personal:  Born May 16, 1992...daughter of Bill and Katie...full name is Kelly Ann Svoboda...has one brother (Billy)...favorite athlete is Phil Dalhausser and her favorite food is pizza...was also recruited by Ohio State, Akron, Cleveland State, Coastal Carolina and Eastern Kentucky, but chose UB because of the academics, the beautiful campus and the great coaching staff...lists her greatest athletic experience as winning Nationals in 2009 with her Cleveland Volleyball Company 17 Black...would like to set the UB school record for digs.
