Bulls Conclude Three-Week Clinic With Niagara Frontier Volleyball Club

BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo volleyball team concluded a three-week clinic with the Niagara Frontier Volleyball Club this past Sunday at the Alumni Arena.  Over the last three Sundays, coaches and members of the UB team, met with youth aged athletes of the club out of West Seneca.  Each clinic focused on different areas of the game.

"It was great to be able to have this relationship with the Niagara Frontier Volleyball Club," said head coach Todd Kress.  "Ever since I got here, I had hoped that we would be able to do things like this with both this club and VolleyFX.  These young kids are so eager to learn and you saw them soak up everything we taught over the three clinics."

The first clinic focused on arm swings, setting and passing, while the second clinic concentrated on blocking, serving and serve receive.  The final clinic went over different positions, including the middle, outside and setting.

"It was a great opportunity for us to be able to teach the things we have learned over the years to these young kids," said freshman middle blocker Carissa McKenna.  "It was nice to see the their reaction and how much they looked up to us."
