Bulls Fall To Falcons, 3-0
BUFFALO, NY – The UB women's volleyball team returned home after a three-match road trip on Friday night, but fell 3-0 in their return to Bowling Green at Alumni Arena. The loss drops UB's record to 15-10 on the season and 5-6 in the MAC.
"We came out flat and had a lot of missed opportunities tonight," said head coach Todd Kress. "Bowling Green played very well and we need to regain our focus before tomorrow night's match."
Senior Dani Silvers led the way with nine kills, while Kelsey Lueders and Lindsey Schlegel each had seven kills on the night. Schlegel also had 32 assists and 10 digs, while adding a service ace and two blocks. Sophomore Abby Niekamp added four kills and four total blocks. Freshman Tori Beckman had a team-high 15 digs. Junior Kristin Bignell added six kills and no errors with three total blocks.
Bowling Green was led by 12 kills from Noelle Spitler and 11 kills from Shari Luther. Alex Zlabis had 19 kills, while Allison Kearny added 39 assists.
The Bulls are back in action tomorrow when they host Miami at 5:00 pm.
