The season came to an end on Friday for the University at Buffalo women’s tennis team as they dropped a hard-fought 4-3 decision to Western Michigan in the Quarterfinals of the Mid-American Conference Tournament. The Bulls, who were the sixth seed in the tournament, finish the year with a 7-12 record.

Buffalo sophomore Tanvi Shah has been named to the All-Mid-American Conference First Team, the conference office announced this afternoon from the league championships in DeKalb, IL. Shah, who is in her first season of competition for the Bulls, joins a list of first-team All-MAC selections for head coach Kathy Twist that go back to 2004.

The University at Buffalo women’s tennis team is being represented for the first time ever at the ITA All-American Championships at UCLA and the Bulls made their presence known on the first day of competition.
