One of the fiercest competitors in UB tennis history, Smaranda Stan rejoins the women’s tennis team as a volunteer assistant.  Stan will always be remembered as the Most Valuable Player at the 2008 Mid-American Conference Championships.

Stan returns to her alma mater where she is third in school history in singles wins and 10th in doubles victories.  During her junior season, Stan won all three clinching points as she led the Bulls to their first Mid-American Conference Championship and UB’s only NCAA Tournament appearance.

Since graduation, Stan has worked as a tennis instructor at the Miller Tennis Center.
