Women's Tennis Heads To MAC Championships

BUFFALO, NY - The University at Buffalo women's tennis team heads to Eastern Michigan University this weekend for the 2011 Mid-American Conference Championships.  Seeded seventh, the Bulls face the second-seeded Akron Zips on Friday at 2:00 pm in the conference quarterfinals.

This weekend will mark the fourth and final MAC Tournament for seniors Diana Popescu and Aleksandra Petrova, who are the last two players that were part of the 2008 MAC Champion Team.

The winner of tomorrow's match will face the winner of the Western Michigan-Eastern Michigan match on Saturday in the MAC Semifinals.  The championship match will be held on Sunday at 12:00 pm.
