SAN JUAN, PR – The University at Buffalo women's tennis team got their spring break trip off to a dominating start as they defeated James Madison on Monday morning, 6-1. With exhibition matches included, UB emerged victorious in 10 of its 12 matches.
The Bulls started things off in doubles as their regionally-ranked first doubles team of Denise Harijanto and Aleksandra Petrova defeated Katherine Bulling and Kinsey Pate, 9-7. UB's number two team had no trouble in its match as the duo of Tamara Markovic and Kira Golenkowon an 8-1 decision over Rebecca Erickson and Megan Douglass. Although the Bulls fell at third doubles, UB did pick up an exhibition win as Sonya Ivanyuk and Anna Subenkova defeated Kelly Maxwell and Ida Donner, 8-2.
The Bulls will continue their trip tomorrow as they play Boston University at 11:00 am.
