Ainsley Wheldon Joins 2010 Recruiting Class
BUFFALO, NY- The University at Buffalo announces the signing of Ainsley Wheldon (Waterloo, Ontario/Bluevale Collegiate Institute) to their 2010 recruiting class.
Ainsley joins club teammate Natalie Jurisevic from across the Border and the Burlington Sting where she has been tending the nets for one of the most successful club teams in the country. Her team has won the OYSL championship as well as the Ontario Cup in the last two years in addition to numerous other team honors. Individually, Ainsley had the lowest goals against average in the OYSL for the 2009 campaign.
Coach Thomas on Ainsley: Ainsley has played at a very good level. She has a tremendous work ethic and we think she will bring an important dynamic to our goalkeeping situation.
Ainsley joins Megan Abman (Denver, CO/Colorado Academy),Lauren Coviello (Parker, CO/Ponderosa), Courtney Gross (East Meadow NY/East Meadow), Natalie Jurisevic (Burlington, Ontario/Assumption Catholic S.S.) and Karen McMahon (Buffalo NY/ Cleveland Hill) as UB's 2010 recruiting class.
