Sharon Sanford Named to NCAA Division I Rowing Committee
BUFFALO, NY – University at Buffalo assistant athletic director Sharon Sanford has been appointed to the NCAA Division I Rowing Committee. She will assist in developing policies and procedures governing the administration and conduct of the NCAA Division I Rowing Championships.
"I am honored to serve on the NCAA Division I Rowing Committee," Sanford said. "It is a great opportunity to work with dynamic professionals from across the country and represent the University at Buffalo and our rowing program at the national level."
As the sport administrator for the women's rowing programs, Sanford has shared in the success as the women's rowing team won the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) championship in 2010 in addition to winning three straight (2008 – 2010) points title at the Dad Vail Regatta, the largest collegiate regatta in North America.
