AKRON STORYLINES
- Game Preview: It will be a battle for two of the top teams in the MAC East as the Bulls, 5-2 in MAC Play, head to Akron to face the Zips, 4-3 in conference play. Both teams are coming off victories over top programs in Miami and Bowling Green, respectively. Buffalo outscored the RedHawks, 44-34, in the second half in Thursday afternoon's victory.
- The Comeback Kids: Buffalo overcame a 13-point first half deficit to Miami (OH) on Thursday afternoon and won for the first time this season when trailing at the half. The 13-point comeback was the first time since the 2007-08 season that Bulls have overcome a deficit of greater than 10 points to win. The last time was Jan. 12, 2008 at Akron.
- The Frenzy Continues: It was a solid start to the February Frenzy that will see the Bulls travel 3,854 miles over a 30-day period stretching through all of February. (For a full map and schedule, check Pg. 5) The Bulls won for the first time at Miami since the 2007-08 season and now look for their first victory at Akron since January 2011. The Bulls also have road games at Central Michigan, Eastern Michigan, Ohio and Bowling Green this month.
