Bulls Begin Final Homestand Wednesday Night Against Miami
BUFFALO, NY - The University at Buffalo women's basketball team begins a two-game homestand on Wednesday night as they host Miami (OH) to Alumni Arena. The Bulls are looking to snap a three-game losing streak, while the RedHawks are looking for their first win in nine games.
The Bulls (13-13, 6-7 MAC) are coming off a 72-52 loss at Kent State last Saturday. Senior Kourtney Brown had 18 points and 15 rebounds in the game, her 17th double-double of the season. Brown currently leads the Bulls and the Mid-American Conference in scoring, rebounding, field goal percentage and blocked shots. Junior Brittany Hedderson is second on the team in scoring, while senior Jessica Fortman is third. Fellow senior Ashley Zuber currently leads the MAC and is 10th in the nation in assists per game at 6.1
Miami (OH) (10-16, 2-11 MAC) has lost nine straight games following back-to-back wins over Buffalo and Akron back in February. Sophomore Courtney Osborn, who is averaging 17.5 points per game, leads the RedHawks. Maggie Boyer adds 12.2 points per contest and sophomore Kristen Olowinski is averaging a double-double with 11.3 points and a team-high 11.1 rebounds per contest. As a team, Miami (OH) is allowing over 75 points per game.
