Women’s Swimming and Diving Falls at Miami In MAC Opener The University at Buffalo women’s swimming and diving team opened the MAC portion of its season this afternoon as they took on Miami in Oxford, Ohio. Freshman Caroline Simmons, junior Jordan Deren and senior diver Meili Carpenter each won a pair of events for the Bulls, as they fell to defending MAC Champions, 171-129.
Jordan Deren Named MAC Swimmer of the Week University at Buffalo junior Jordan Deren earned the Mid-American Conference Swimmer of the Week Award based on her performance against Duquesne last Friday, as the Bulls beat the Dukes 137.5-75.5.
Swim Teams Sweep Duquesne The University at Buffalo men's and women's swimming and diving teams opened the dual meet season on Friday with victories over visiting Duquesne at Alumni Arena Natatorium. The UB men won the final event of a close battle to defeat the Dukes, 123-114. The UB women cruised to a 137.5-75.5 victory.
UB Swimming and Diving Hosts WNY Invite The University at Buffalo men’s and women’s swimming and diving team started their season by hosting the Western New York Invite this afternoon at UB’s Alumni Arena Natatorium. There was no team scoring, but Binghamton, Canisius, Niagara and St. Bonaventure all competed in the event.
