Bulls Move Into Second Place at MAC Champs The University at Buffalo men’s swimming and diving team continued its record breaking weekend at the 2010 MAC Championships, breaking five school records in the second day of competition. The Bulls now sit in second place out of seven teams.
Bulls See Success In Day One The University at Buffalo men’s swimming and diving team started off the 2010 MAC Championships tonight at Eastern Michigan University. The Bulls broke three school records in the first day of competition.
Caroline Simmons and Meili Carpenter Win MAC Championships The University at Buffalo women’s swimming and diving team wrapped up the 2010 Mid-American Conference Championships with impressive swims, as Caroline Simmons and Meili Carpenter won MAC Championships, while Alie Schirmers, Carpenter and Simmons each broke individual school records. The Bulls finished the meet tied for fifth place with MAC rival Akron.
Bulls Have Record Breaking Day at MAC Champs Buffalo had an impressive day in the pool as day three of the Mid-American Conference Championships wrapped up in Oxford, Ohio. Sophomore Alie Schirmers set a new school record in the 400 IM, while freshman Caroline Simmons broke the school record in the 200 freestyle.
Meili Carpenter Wins MAC Championship in One-Meter Diving The University at Buffalo women’s swimming and diving team finished day two of the Mid-American Conference Championships. Senior diver Meili Carpenter won the MAC Championship in the one-meter diving event, finishing with a score of 301.45.

Bulls Roll Over Bowling Green The University at Buffalo women’s swimming and diving team picked up their seventh consecutive win, defeating MAC rival Bowling Green tonight at UB’s Alumni Arena Natatorium by a score of 154-114.
Bulls Defeat St. Bonaventure The University at Buffalo men’s and women’s swimming and diving team picked up another road win with a sweep of St. Bonaventure tonight at the Reilly Center Pool, as the women’s team defeated the Bonnies 125.5-93.5, while the men’s team won by a score of 131-110.
Bulls Edge Akron, 158-140 The University at Buffalo women’s swimming and diving team edged out MAC rival Akron by a score of 158-140 tonight to improve their record to 6-2 (3-2 MAC). Brynn Marecki picked up two individual wins, while diver Meili Carpenter swept the diving events to help lead the team to their fifth straight win.
Bulls Takedown RedHawks, 160-131 he University at Buffalo men’s swimming and diving team defeated MAC rival Miami by a score of 160-131 to improve their record to 5-1 (1-1 MAC) on Saturday afternoon.
Bulls Sweep Bearcats The University at Buffalo men’s and women’s swimming and diving team picked up another road win with a clean sweep of Binghamton this afternoon, as the women’s team defeated the Bearcats 134-105, while the men’s team won by a score of 137-103.
Bulls Barrel Over Niagara The University at Buffalo men’s and women’s swimming and diving team was back in action this afternoon at Niagara with the men’s team defeating the Purple Eagles, 120-105, while the women’s team took their meet by a score of 129-105.
Meili Carpenter Named MAC Scholar-Ahlete of the Week University at Buffalo senior Meili Carpenter was named the Mid-American Conference’s Women’s Scholar-Athlete of the Week for the week of November 30-December 6. Carpenter won the award for the second consecutive week, after an impressive performance at the Zippy Invite.

Bulls Breeze By Ball State The University at Buffalo men’s and women’s swimming and diving team finished up their weekend with a sweep of the Ball State swimming and diving teams, as the men won by a score of 158-137 to improve their record to 2-1 overall (1-1 MAC), while the women defeated the Cardinals 161-137 to bring their record to 3-2 overall (2-2 MAC).

Carpenter Sets New School Record as Bulls Drop Close Meet To Ohio The University at Buffalo women’s swimming and diving team lost a close meet to the Ohio Bobcats on Saturday afternoon at Ohio’s Aquatic Center. The meet came down to the final relay with the Bulls just missing out on their first MAC win of the season, as they fell to the Bobcats 154-146.
Women’s Swimming and Diving Falls at Miami In MAC Opener The University at Buffalo women’s swimming and diving team opened the MAC portion of its season this afternoon as they took on Miami in Oxford, Ohio. Freshman Caroline Simmons, junior Jordan Deren and senior diver Meili Carpenter each won a pair of events for the Bulls, as they fell to defending MAC Champions, 171-129.
Jordan Deren Named MAC Swimmer of the Week University at Buffalo junior Jordan Deren earned the Mid-American Conference Swimmer of the Week Award based on her performance against Duquesne last Friday, as the Bulls beat the Dukes 137.5-75.5.
Swim Teams Sweep Duquesne The University at Buffalo men's and women's swimming and diving teams opened the dual meet season on Friday with victories over visiting Duquesne at Alumni Arena Natatorium. The UB men won the final event of a close battle to defeat the Dukes, 123-114. The UB women cruised to a 137.5-75.5 victory.
UB Swimming and Diving Hosts WNY Invite The University at Buffalo men’s and women’s swimming and diving team started their season by hosting the Western New York Invite this afternoon at UB’s Alumni Arena Natatorium. There was no team scoring, but Binghamton, Canisius, Niagara and St. Bonaventure all competed in the event.
