2011-12: Scored points at the MAC Championships with a fifth-place finish in the 200 breaststroke (2:01.21) and 12th-place showing in the 100 breaststroke (56.86). Also finished 17th in the 400 IM (4:07.06) at the league meet. 

High School: Earned five letters at Ithaca High School for coach Mike Blakely-Armitage. A four-year All-Southern Tier Athletic Conference honoree. Finished second in the 100 breaststroke and tied for fourth in the 200 IM at the 2011 New York State Championships. Set state sectional records in the 100 breastsroke and 200 IM. Also swam for the Lansing Cats club program for coach Reed Dewey, finishing 16th in the 200 breaststroke and 24th in the 100 breaststroke at the junior national meet.

Personal: Born November 15, 1992. Son of Timothy and Merilee Nord. Favorite athletes are Ryan Lochte and Eric Shanteau. Favorite movies include Star Wars and Avatar. Chose UB over Cornell, Ithaca and Emory. Majoring in physics.
