2011-12: Raced as an exhibition entrant at the MAC Championships setting season-bests in the 100 backstroke (58.73), 200 backstroke (2:05.13) and 200 IM (2:14.92).

High School: Won four letters and captained two seasons at Salem High School for coach Chuck Olson. Earned all-state honors. Also raced for the Plymouth Canton Cruisers club program helping the squad to team records in eight events.

Personal: Born January 8, 1993. Daughter of Jeff and Julie Nelson. Enjoys hockey and her favorite player is former Detroit Red Wing goalie Chris Osgood. Favorite TV show is Desperate Housewives. Lists her club coach Andy Cebull as her greatest athletic influence. Majoring in exercise science.
