2011-12: Named men’s Most Valuable. Earned All-MAC First Team and Collegeswimming.com Mid-Major All-American Honorable Mention awards. Part of four record setting relay champions at the MAC meet (400 medley relay, 3:13.77; 200 free relay, 1:19.67; 400 free relay, 2:56.31; 800 free relay, 6:30.94). Set 200 freestyle school record (1:35.60) in the leadoff split of the 800 freestyle relay. Individually won the 100 freestyle (school and MAC record 43.45) and finished second in the 200 freestyle (1:37.15) and 200 IM (1:46.76) at the MAC Championships. 

2010-11: Earned All-MAC First Team and Collegeswimming.com Mid-Major All-American honors. MAC champion in the 200 freestyle (school record 1:37.05). Placed second in the 200 IM (school record 1:48.50) and tied for third in the 100 freestyle (45.05) at the MAC Championships. Part of four record setting relay champions (200 medley relay, 1:27.87, 400 medley relay, 3:14.98, 400 free relay, 2:56.60, 800 free relay, 6:37.12). He qualified for the U.S. Olympic Trials in the 100-meter freestyle (50.94) and 400-meter medley relay at the U.S. Nationals in August.

2009-10: Earned second-team All-MAC honors at the MAC Championships, placing second in the 200 freestyle (1:38.30) and tying for second in the 100 freestyle (44.95) with teammate Jared Heine. Won the consolation final of the 50 freestyle (20.95) for a ninth-place overall finish. Swam the opening leg of the 400 freestyle relay (2:59.60) helping the squad to a second-place finish.

High School: Earned four letters and captained one season for coach Scott Hedges at Cranbrook High School.  Set records in the 100 breaststroke, 100 freestyle and 200 IM and was a member of the record setting 200 medley and 400 freestyle relays. Was the 2009 Michigan High School (Division III) state champion in the 100 freestyle and 200 IM.
