Swim Teams Named to Scholar All-America Lists

BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo men's and women's swimming and diving squads have been named as Scholar All-America Teams for the fall 2011 semester by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America.

The men's team ranked 14th nationally with a 3.26 grade point average for the semester while the women achieved a 3.29 GPA to rank 71st. A total of 72 men's programs and 164 women's programs achieved the necessary 3.00 GPA to be named to the list.

The UB women posted their highest finish at last weekend's Mid-American Conference Championships, placing fourth among eight squads. The UB men, defending MAC champions, begin their league championships today.
