UB Divers Finish Day Two of Zones

PISCATAWAY, NJ  - Day two of the 2010 Zone A Diving Championships wrapped up Saturday night with Buffalo diver Meili Carpenter capturing a second-place finish in the women's three-meter event.


Carpenter scored 320.75 points in the preliminary round of the three-meter event and earned a total of 658.40 points to finish second overall. Rider's Amanda Burke took the first-place spot, scoring 672.30 points. 

 

On the men's side, Colin Patrican finished 18th on the one-meter board, scoring 267.80 points in the preliminary round and earning a total of 547.45 after the finals event. Teammate Kenny Rhoadesfinished just out of finals contention, scoring 267.65 points for a 19th-place finish.


Competition will conclude tomorrow after the completion of the men's and women's platform events.
