Fall 2011: Did not see action in the fall season due to injury.

 

2010-11: Finished with a 7-5 singles and 8-2 doubles record. Missed six weeks during the middle of the spring season with an injury. Returned to action in mid-April to win three of his final four matches including a super-tiebreaker over Roman Turtygin of Northern Illinois. Combined with Vusa Hove for a 7-0 doubles record during the spring. Won two matches in the B singles flight at the Farnsworth/Princeton Invitational. Represented UB at ITA Regionals falling in his first round singles match.

 

2009-10: Named UB’s Most Valuable Player. Finished 17-9 in singles (4-0 MAC) and 16-13 in doubles. Went 10-4 at fourth singles. Scored the deciding point in UB’s 4-3 regular season win over Toledo as he downed Leo Sarria in a tiebreaker to claim a 4-6, 6-2, 7-6 (4) win. Combined with Mitch Zenaty to reach the championship match of the Niagara Doubles Shootout, picking up four wins in the Purple flight. Won the B consolation doubles at the Dartmouth Shootout. 

 

Personal: Born March 18, 1989. Son of Gheorghe and Camelia Tibil. Has one brother (Alex). Hobbies include driving and cinema. Favorite movie is A Beautiful Mind. Majoring in business.
