Previous college: Attended the University of Oklahoma. Did not see action with the Sooners.

High school: Earned four letters and captained one season at Roslyn High School for coach Kerri McMahan. Finished fourth at the New York State Championships. Earned all-state and county honors.

Personal: Born August 30, 1991. Son of Barry and Gwen Simon. Has one brother (Andrew). Lists winning the NABF baseball world series as his greatest athletic experience and hometown coach Mihia Grecu as his greatest athletic influence. Major is undecided.
