John Astudillo Retires as UB’s Men’s Soccer Coach
One of the most distinguished coaches in Western New York history, John Astudillo has announced he will retire after 22 years as head coach of the University at Buffalo men's soccer team. Astudillo, Buffalo’s all-time wins leader, will be retiring as the architect of one of UB’s most consistent and successful teams.

Bulls Blank Marquette In Opening Day of Marquette Invitational
The University at Buffalo men’s soccer team opened play at the Marquette Invitational tonight, shutting out host Marquette, 4-0. Mike Unwin (Basingstoke, England/North Iowa CC) scored two goals for the Bulls, while UB goalkeeper Nick Fetterman had six saves in net, earning his second shutout of the season.

Bulls Give Valiant Effort in Double Overtime Loss to West Virginia 1-0
The University at Buffalo men's soccer team concluded the 2009 West Virginia University/Nike Classic in a valiant effort by falling to host West Virginia, 1-0 in double overtime with only seconds remaining. The Bulls faced the Mountaineers down a man for over 35 minutes due to a red-card infraction with under seven minutes remaining in the second half.

Bulls Capture Season Opening Victory Over Pittsburgh 1-0
The University at Buffalo men's soccer team opened the 2009 season with a 1-0 victory over the University of Pittsburgh in the first contest of the West Virginia University/Nike Classic. In the 18th minute, senior Alex Mihal ripped a 30-yard shot from the far left side putting it in the upper 90 past the Panthers' goalie to give the Bulls a 1-0 lead and the eventual victory.

University at Buffalo men’s soccer goalkeeper Bobby Shuttleworth has decided to forgo his senior season and has signed with the New England Revolution of the MLS. Major League Soccer is the highest level of professional soccer in the United States.
