OTTAWA – The University at Buffalo men's basketball team dropped a hard-fought 77-75 decision to Canadian powerhouse Carleton University in Ottawa on Tuesday night. One of Canada's strongest teams, the Ravens have won eight of the last 10 national championships, including a perfect 28-0 record a year ago.
The Bulls had a very balanced scoring attack with all nine players scoring at least three points.
For the second straight game Auraum Nuiriankh was UB's leading scorer with 14 points on 5-of-7 shooting, including 4-of-6 from beyond the arc. Will Regan was second in scoring with 12 points. Javon McCrea stuffed the statsheet with 11 points, nine rebounds, two assists, five blocks and a steal in 26 minutes.
The Bulls will return to Montreal and conclude their trip with a game against the Brookwood Elite All-Star Team on Wednesday at 1 pm.
