Mitchell Watt Selected to Play in Reese’s College All-Star Game

BUFFALO, NY - University at Buffalo forward Mitchell Watt has been selected to play in the Reese's College All-Star Game. The game features 20 of the finest senior college basketball players from Division I playing on the NCAA Final Four floor at the Louisiana Superdome on March 30.

"It is a tremendous honor for Mitch, for his teammates, for our program and for our conference to have a player get the level of recognition that comes along with playing in this game," head coach Reggie Witherspoon said. "I think it's a tremendous opportunity for Mitchell to expose his talents and skills on a big stage in front of college basketball fans and NBA types who are sure to be there."

Watt, who was named the MAC Player of the Year, averaged 16.3 points, 7.5 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 2.2 blocked shots per game - all career highs. He ranked in the top four in the conference in five different categories, including scoring (3rd), rebounding (4th), field goal percentage (3rd), blocked shots (2nd) and defensive rebounds (3rd).

The Goodyear, AZ native finished his UB career ranked 15th in school history in scoring (1,061 points), seventh in rebounding (565) and second in blocked shots (196).

Watt is the first UB player invited to play in the game.

The game will air on TruTV on March 31st at 1:00 pm.
