Bulls Head West to Play Northern Illinois on Saturday

BUFFALO, NY - The University at Buffalo men's basketball team will play its first road game against a West Division foe when it tips off against Northern Illinois at the Convocation Center at 1:00 (EST) on Saturday afternoon.

The Bulls (11-6, 4-2 MAC) are coming off a 65-47 win over Eastern Michigan on Tuesday night at Alumni Arena. The Bulls had three players score in double-figures, led by Javon McCrea's 17 points.

Buffalo has now won three straight games and has been using the three-point shot to its advantage during its streak. The Bulls have hit nine three-pointers in each of their last three games. They have been getting contributions from a number of different players as six different UB players have made a three-pointer over the three-game stretch.

 Another area the Bulls have excelled in is assists. Buffalo had 20 assists on 22 field goals against Eastern Michigan. Jarod Oldham dished out 10 helpers and leads the MAC in assists – averaging 6.5 per game.

Northern Illinois is 2-16 overall and 1-5 in the MAC. The Huskies are coming off a 90-56 loss at Kent State on Wednesday night. Northern Illinois is led by Abdel Nader who is averaging 10.3 points and 3.3 rebounds per game.

Northern Illinois leads the all-time series, 13-12. Buffalo has won nine of the last 10 meetings between the schools. UB defeated the Huskies, 63-52, at Alumni Arena last season.
