Bulls to Play at Iona in CIT Quarterfinals on Tuesday Night

BUFFALO – In a battle of the last two New York college basketball teams still playing, Buffalo will travel to Iona to take on the Gaels on Tuesday night in the quarterfinals of the CollegeInsiders.com Postseason Tournament.

The road-weary Bulls won at Quinnipiac in the opening road before rallying to defeat Western Michigan, 49-48, in Kalamazoo on Saturday. In order to advance to semifinals, Buffalo will hit the road once again to face an Iona squad that is 11-2 at home this season.

The Gaels are 23-11 overall. They lost to Saint Peter's in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference championship game. Iona is led by a pair of All-MAAC First Team players in Mike Glover who is averaging a double-double (18.2 points/10.2 rebounds) and Scott Machado who ranks third in the nation in assists (7.5 apg). Iona won at Valparaiso, 85-77, last Wednesday in the first round of the CIT before earning a bye in round two.
