Mid-American Conference Announces Conference Games for Bulls

BUFFALO, NY – The Mid-American Conference today, in addition to announcing the league's new 14-team divisional alignment set to begin in the 2012 football season, also set Buffalo's conference slate of games.

As of this fall, Buffalo will remain in the East Division with Kent State, Akron, Miami, Ohio and football-only members Temple and Massachusetts. The West Division will see Bowling Green move over from the East to join Toledo, Ball State, Northern Illinois, Central Michigan, Eastern Michigan and Western Michigan to balance the league into two seven-team divisions for the first time since 2006.

The Bulls will once again play eight MAC games this fall, hosting Temple, Kent State, Miami and Toledo at UB Stadium in 2011. Temple and Toledo were both bowl teams this past year and won their respective bowl games.

Buffalo will take to the road to face MAC rivals Akron, Ohio, Bowling Green and conference newcomer Massachusetts. Ohio won the MAC East as well as their bowl game this past year.

All divisional alignments for other MAC sponsored sports will remain the same.

Dates for the conference games will be announced in early March.

Buffalo's non-conference games for 2012 include the season-opener at Georgia (9/1), home games against Morgan State (9/8) and Pittsburgh (10/6) and a road game at Connecticut (9/29).
