Bulls Unveil New Football Uniforms

BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo football program unveiled its new uniforms for 2011 on Thursday afternoon at the UB Football Kickoff Luncheon.

The uniforms, designed by Nike and manufactured for the Bulls by ADPRO Sports of Buffalo, feature white and blue jerseys and white, blue and black pants. The new jerseys will feature the players' names on the back and gives the Bulls five different combinations of jerseys for games.

The jerseys are part of the Nike Pro Combat System – worn by programs like Arkansas, Miami(FL), West Virginia, Boise State and others – and deliver superior lightweight performance and protection. The word "Bulls" will be featured down the right leg of each set of pants while the jerseys feature a three-color sublimated number with the "Blacksburg" font. The word "Buffalo" will once again be featured above the numbers on the front of the jersey. The Bulls' helmets will remain the same.

Kelly Morris, Senior Merchandising Manager of Nike and Ron Raccuia, President of ADPRO Sports worked with Buffalo head coach Jeff Quinn and administrators to come up with the final design.

"Our players and staff are excited about the bold new design of our uniforms and we think the new look will mirror the strong presence that the Bulls will take the field with this year," said head coach Jeff Quinn. "We can't wait for our fans to see our new look when we kick off the season at Pittsburgh."

The color options give Buffalo the following jersey combinations. For home games: blue jersey and white pants; blue jersey and blue pants and blue jersey and black pants (expected to debut against Connecticut for Homecoming weekend). For away games: white jersey and blue pants and white jersey and white pants.
