Chris Smith Hired as Football Graduate Assistant

BUFFALO, NY – Chris Smith, son of St. Francis head football coach Jerry Smith, has been hired as a graduate assistant on Jeff Quinn's football staff. Smith will assist the Bulls' defense.

Smith is a 2009 graduate of Holy Cross where he was a four-year starting center for the Crusaders football team. He was named second-team All-Patriot League as a senior and was a four-time Academic All-League selection. Smith holds the school record for most starts and most consecutive starts (45).

A Western New York native, Smith played for his father at St. Francis High School in Buffalo.
