2012: Exploded on to the national scene as a junior, posting career numbers both in the regular season and during summer league play... named to the All-MAC second team... was named the MAC East Player of the Week for two straight weeks (5/14, 5/21)... batted .345 and slugged .556 with 13 doubles, five triples, and eight home runs... drove in 40 runs... one of only three players on the team to start in 55 games or more... ranked ninth in the MAC in batting average, runs scored, and hits, fifth in slugging percentage and home runs, eighth in stolen bases, and tied for first in triples... stole 17 bases in 21 attempts... finished the season on a 14-game hit streak, the longest on the team and the third longest in the program since 2007... despite finishing third on the team in putouts, he posted a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage, earning him a spot on the nine-member ABCA's Rawlings Gold Glove Award team... recorded 24 multi-hit games and nine multi-RBI games... in the single-season record book, he sits third in hits (77), total bases (124), and at bats (223), seventh in triples, and ninth in home runs and stolen bases... came just a double shy of a cycle, knocked in four RBI and stole two bases in a win over UMBC (3/14)... drove in a season-high five runs to help the team to a 6-2 win over Toledo (5/6)... set a program record with six hits against Eastern Michigan, also tying a modern-day program record with three stolen bases in the game (5/11)... hit a two-run home run to help beat Bowling Green 8-5, sealing the team’s first-ever trip to the MAC tournament (5/19)... in Summer league action, Kanzler helped the Edenton (NC) Steamers of the Coastal Plains League to the top overall seed in the playoffs, was a CPL All-Star honoree, and a participant in the league's home run derby... also received the CPL Hitter of the Week award... batted .305 with eight home runs, 31 runs batted in, and 21 stolen bases over the summer season.
2011: Served as one of the team’s top speed threats, leading the team in triples (3) and stolen bases (11)... appeared in 38 games, starting in 35... came just a home run shy of a cycle as he went 4-4 with a double, triple, three RBI, a walk and a stolen base against New Mexico (2/27)... led the team to a 18-7 win over Delaware State with a double and a home run, driving in five runs (3/4)... went 1-3 with two walks and two stolen bases against NC Central (3/18)... had two doubles and a walk against Ohio (5/6)... hit two more doubles and drove in two runs in a 3-2 win over Le Moyne (5/9)... had eight multi-hit games and three games with two or more runs batted in.
