Previous School: Played for Grand Rapids CC for two seasons under head coach Mike Couples... as a freshman, led the team with five wins... struck out 38 batters in 50.2 innings.. started in 11 games and pitched five complete games.

High School: Earned four letters and was captain for two seasons at Lowell High School under head coach Juston Miller... serving as the team's starting pitcher, he won nine games as a senior and led the Red Arrows to a 30-8 overall record... named All-Conference, All-District and All-Region teams... helped Lowell to a District Championship and a Regional runner-up finish. 

Personal: Born May 12, 1991... son of Dan and Kim... has six siblings: Luke, Jake, Nate, Matt, Kylee and Kelsey... majoring in psychology with a minor in nutrition... career goal is to become a physical therapist... enjoys hunting, fishing and biking... favorite TV shows include Storage Wars, Criminal Minds and Pawn Stars... dream as a college athlete is to win the Mid-American Conference title and graduate with a degree... chose UB because of the academics and the chance to play Division I baseball... dream vacation destination is Europe or Australia... one record he would like to set at UB is lowest individual ERA.
