ESPN Rise Magazine named him one of the top ten pitchers in New York state as a senior... in his senior season, he batted .400 with 22 runs batted in and eight extra-base hits... struck out only nine times in 84 plate appearances in 2010-11... on the mound, he struck out 96 batters in 54 innings... posted a 3.76 ERA in 10 starts... also played football and basketball... played summer baseball for the Syracuse Sportszone Chiefs for two seasons for coach Dickie Woodridge.
