Bulls Baseball Announces February Clinics
BUFFALO, NY - The University at Buffalo baseball program will be holding two separate camps in February. The first will be a three hour advanced hitting camp Sunday, February 13 from 6 pm to 9 pm at Alumni Arena for ages 10-17, and the second is a President's Day Camp for kids ages 6-12.
The goal of the advanced hitting camp will be to enhance the efficiency of each player's swing, through five universal principles of hitting (rhythm, balance, weight transfer, separation and bat path). Instruction will be provided through cage time, tee work, lecture and other applicable drills. Included in the cost of the camp will be a written evaluation on each player's strengths and weaknesses. The cost of the camp is $50 per individual, or $40 each for groups of four or more.
The President's Day Camp runs from 9am to noon on Feb. 21 and 22. It will offer comprehensive instruction from the entire Buffalo coaching staff and it will consist of stations that cover base-running, infield and outfield work, pitching and hitting. Also included with the enrollment is a UB Baseball camp shirt and full access to the Buffalo athletic facilities. The enrollment will be limited, however, to ensure quality of instruction and greater opportunity for improvement. Registration will begin at 8:30 am at Alumni Arena. Interested participants should bring their own gloves and bats, with catchers bringing their gear as well if possible. The cost is $75 per person.
