Security & ID Cards

Our current security system is designed to protect our students and patrons. In order to enter and use the facilities proper authorization is required. Patrons wishing to use the facilities must purchase a membership (see membership for rates) or a current student of full-time status at the University. Patrons (community members, alumni, visiting guest, and faculty/staff) who purchase a membership will be provided with a recreation permit card, which will provide patrons with access to the facilities. Once membership is purchased, patrons will be issued their recreation permit card within 5 – 7 business days. Patrons will be responsible for the replacement of their lost recreation permit card. Patrons are REQUIRED to carry their recreation permit card with them at all times while in the facility. Current UB students are also required to show and carry proper identification (UB Card) while using the facilities. For those who forget their UB card at home, you will be required to bring an identification card in order to be permitted into the facility; otherwise you will not be permitted into the building.
