National Girls and Women in Sports Day Committee To Host Women in Sports Symposium
BUFFALO, NY -- The University at Buffalo National Girls and Women in Sports Day Committee is proud to announce its inaugural Women in Sports Symposium on Thursday, February 7th. This event in conjunction with the 23rd Annual NGWSD Celebration at UB will be held at the Ramada Inn and Conference Center in Amherst.
The Symposium will begin at 3:00 p.m. and is for all coaches, athletic administrators and graduate students interested in a career in athletics. It will feature Jolene Nagel as the keynote speaker. Nagel is the Head Women's Volleyball coach at Duke University.
The event will also hold two sessions with a choice of two different workshops per session. Each session will be 45 minutes long.
There is a $30 registration fee, it includes the workshops and materials, a networking reception with dinner, and a UB Women's basketball game.
The women's basketball team plays host to Bowling Green that evening with tip-off set for 7 p.m. at Alumni Arena on UB's campus.
The symposium will be an excellent opportunity for women in athletics to share ideas, network and learn from their peers.
