Eric Gross begins his first year as Assistant Athletic Director for Development. Gross oversees the athletic department's development and fundraising efforts as well as the department’s facility campaign, strategic plan, contracts and analysis of revenue streams.
Gross comes to Buffalo from the University of Mississippi where he served as the Associate Director of Development. At Ole Miss he was a member of a team that posted three consecutive record–breaking fundraising years since 2010. He played an integral role in the planning, preparation and launch of the Capital Gift Agreement (CGA) program and the Forward Together campaign; a $150 million fundraising effort to bring a new basketball arena and football stadium expansion to Ole Miss.
In his role as a major gifts officer, Gross worked to advance the fundraising efforts of the athletic department through the identification and cultivation of major gift prospects for Vaught Society, Builders Circle and facility naming opportunities.
Prior to joining the UMAA Foundation, Gross was a development assistant with the Tennessee Fund, the fundraising arm for the University of Tennessee Athletics. While at Tennessee, he worked closely with the Director of Capital campaigns to administer to UT Athletics ongoing capital campaign aimed at a number of major facility projects. In addition, he was responsible for drafting capital gift agreements and major gift proposals.
Gross earned his B.A. from San Diego State University and his J.D. from the University of Tulsa. He was admitted to the Tennessee bar in 2009.
