Clarke and Kuras Named Athletes of the Week

Patrick Clarke (New Castle, DE/Hargrave Military Academy) of the football team booted a 47-yard field goal as time expired to lift Buffalo to a 27-24 win over Miami on Saturday. The sophomore kicker made 2-of-3 kicks on the afternoon. He drilled a career-long 49-yard effort in the second quarter to tie the game at 3-3. His lone miss was a 46-yarder into a stiff wind. Two of his five kickoffs went for touchbacks.

Brittney Kuras (Canandaigua, NY/Canandaigua Academy) of the women's swimming and diving team earned three individual wins and was also part of a winning relay team in UB's 165-133 win over Akron. Kuras set a season-best in taking the 200-yard freestyle in 1:49.31 and also won the 100-yard freestyle in 50.84. She was the top finisher in the 200-yard individual medley in 2:07.70 and helped the Bulls to win the 200-yard medley relay in a season-best 1:45.25.
