Kowal and Mann Named Athletes of the Week

| Maksym Kowal (Mississauga, Ontario/St. Paul Secondary) of the men's soccer team scored both of UB's goals in the 2-1 victory over Albany on Friday. Kowal netted both goals in the first half giving the Bulls a 2-0 lead on the Great Danes. He took a cross from Jesse Andoh in the seventh minute and then scored in front of the net in the 22nd minute following Pat Ryan's through ball. Kowal now has three goals for the season, tied for the team lead. | |

| Courtney Mann (Buffalo, NY/Frontier) of the women's soccer team scored her first collegiate goal at Ball State as the Bulls opened Mid-American play on the road. The sophomore midfielder netted her first collegiate tally in the 56th minute to give the Bulls the lead after Natalie Jurisevic's attempt was blocked as Mann then scooped up the loose ball and found the net. In nine games, she has a goal and an assist for three points. |
