Oliver And Roberts Named Athletes Of The Week

Katie Roberts (Homerville, OH/Cloverleaf) of the women's soccer team had two assists and scored a goal in UB's 3-0 win over Temple. The freshman forward assisted on goals in the first and second half to help the Bulls build the lead. Roberts scored a goal of her own, unassisted, in the 83rd minute to ice the game. She leads the team with three assists and five points this season. |

Branden Oliver (Miami, FL/Miami Southridge) of the football team scored three rushing touchdowns and gained 126 yards in UB's 35-7 win over Stony Brook. Oliver, a sophomore tailback, had touchdowns of 22, 43 and 49 yards. He was the first UB player to score three touchdowns in a game since Ike Nduka against Western Michigan in 2009. Oliver leads the team with 240 rushing yards and four touchdowns this season. |
